Helene-Lange-Prize

The Helene Lange Price for women in the MINT sciences was first awarded in 2009 by the EWE Foundation (German only) in cooperation with Oldenburg University and is bestowed annually. The prize is awarded to outstanding young female scientists for their exceptional work in research and teaching.

Female Post-Docs who have not been called to a full professorship and who work at a German University within the mathematical sector, in a natural science or in engineering may apply.

Application deadline for 2014 ist April, 15.

The award is endowed with 10,000 Euros and is handed out during the ceremony “EWE Forum Alte Fleiwa” in Oldenburg.

A jury will choose the winner. Among the criteria taken into consideration are

  • outstanding doctoral degree in a MINT area,
  • excellent teaching credentials,
  • collaboration in a scientific project,
  • relevant publications
  • the intention to consequently pursue a scientific career.
